SHARE A PRAYER

One of the central tenets of the Moon Beam Network is that we commit to praying for, with, and about each other. This section of our site gives you a space to send us your Prayer Requests, Praise Reports, and special prayers you use.

When we pray FOR each other, we act as intercessors, “in-the-place-of” praying. It’s making a prayer on behalf of someone else rather than on behalf of ourselves.

When we pray ABOUT each other, we’re making prayers that are intended to be blessings. We ask God for this favor or that outcome for one another. I might pray for your health or you might pray for me to find strength in a trial.

When we pray WITH each other, ah, there’s a power in that. Usually this is focused on something outside of both of us, like the people who are suffering in Southeast Asia, or a child who has been kidnapped.

Father, I take a moment to remember everyone in the Moon Beam Network. Watch over them all. Bless them. Protect them. Guide them. Direct them. Keep them all safe from any harm or danger in body mind and spirit. See to their temporal needs and continue to call them all to a deeper spiritual awareness of and commitment to you. Give them your Light. Bless everyone who prays for us and everyone who asks for our prayers. Bless all of us with the will to do small things with great love, that which we share among all of the members of the Moon Beam Network. Likewise bless everyone I have ever loved and everyone who has ever loved me, and anyone who has ever loved them, for the love we have comes from You through Your Son Jesus the Christ by the ministry of The Holy Spirit. AMEN.

Any moment of your life can be the right time to say – or even be – a prayer. Here is a nice quote from Rev. Charles H. Spurgeon (http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/1039.htm) that sheds some light on that idea:

1 Thessalonians 5:17: Pray without ceasing.

“Pray without ceasing.” That precept at one stroke overthrows the idea of particular times wherein prayer is more acceptable or more proper than at others. If I am to pray without ceasing, then every second must be suitable for prayer, and there is not one unholy moment in the hour, nor one unaccepted hour in the day, nor one unhallowed day in the year. The Lord has not appointed a certain week for prayer, but all weeks should be weeks of prayer: neither has he said that one hour of the day is more acceptable than another. All time is equally legitimate for supplication, equally holy, equally accepted with God, or else we should not have been told to pray without ceasing.

Please pray for Desmond L. He has inoperable Stage IV cancer, and his life is slipping away and filled with pain. Pray also for Desmond’s family and friends who wish to comfort him in ways that reflect God’s tenderness during times like these. Thanks, MBN – L.L.
